Abstract
To determine the frequency of HLA-A,B,C and-HLA DR antigens and genes in 200.Korean population, the present study was performed by Terasaki¢¥s Tissue typing method with. the purified T- and B-lymphocytes obtained from 143 normal healthy persons and 57 chronic glomerulonephritis patients during for 16 months from July 1, 1980 to October 31, 1981.
Lymphocytes were isolated from heparinized whole blood by centrifugation over Ficoll/ Hypaque density gradient solution. Contaminated platelets and granulocytes were removed by treatment with thrombin (100 USA N.I.H. units/ml). T- and B-lymphocytes were separated by elution of crudely isolated lymphocytes through the nylon fiber column which was loosenly packedinto¢¥¢¥the long slender transparent plastic tube and eluted with Hank¢¥s balanced salt solution (HBSS). After washing with HBSS, lymphocytes resuspended finally in McCoy¢¥s media were adjust to 1.5 x 106 cells/mL.
